Kitten Sales Agreement
THIS AGREEMENT made by the purchasor and the Vendor must be signed by
both parties at the point of sale.
WHEREBY IT IS AGREED that for a consideration of £400, receipt of
which the Vendor hereby acknowledges, the Vendor agrees to sell and
the Purchaser agreed to purchase the kitten described herein under
the name of (insert kitten's name).
AND THE PURCHASER COVENANTS
- To undertake to keep the kitten as a household pet only.
The Purchaser agrees that the kitten shall/shall not be shown in
any competitive cat show unless agreed by the seller
SHOW APPROVAL: Yes / No
- Not under any circumstances whatsoever to use the kitten
for breeding or allow the kitten to breed with any other cat of the
same or a different species, neither will the Purchaser allow any
such use to be made of the kitten by any other party.
- Any change to the Purchaser's circumstances which would
mean the re-homing of the kitten must be brought to the Vendor's
attention. If it is impractical for the seller to take back the
kitten a new pet home must be agreed by the Vendor in writing, who
will supply a new pet sales agreement for the new owners to sign.
This agreement must be returned to the Vendor before the new owner
takes possession of the kitten.
- That the kitten will be neutered by a Veterinary
Surgeon/Practitioner, before attaining the age of seven months.
He/she will produce the Vendor a Certificate from the Veterinary
Surgeon/Practitioner stating that this has been carried out.
- In the event of these covenants being breached the Vendor
shall have the right to repossess legally the kitten and to be
reimbursed by the Purchaser the reasonable cost of such
repossession and the keeping of such kitten for a period of up to
two months after repossession. In thet event of this happening,
the Purchaser acknowledges that no monies by way of compensation or
otherwise would be due to him/her.
- If show approval is given, the Vendor can take no
responsibility should the kitten fail to succeed as a show cat.
- All reasonable care should be taken for the kittens
wellbeing at all times; in the case of accident or illness
veterinary advice should be sought immediately. You are strongly
advised to take out pet insurance as a responsible pet owner. The
kitten is sold as an indoor cat.
- Transfer papers and GCCF registration numbers will be
provided upon receipt of a signed veterinary confirmation
certificate of spaying or neutering as appropriate.
- This agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with the
law of England and Wales and any disputes arising under it shall be
submitted to the Jurisdiction of the Courts in England and Wales.
